Meet our team: Annalena Müller, Partner Manager DACH

Exciting times lie ahead: Leadinfo will soon open its first office abroad in Düsseldorf. Annalena joined the Leadinfo team six months ago and is now a core part of the Leadinfo German Sales Team. She ensures all of our German Partners are happy, getting the most out of Leadinfo and identifying as many leads as possible.

Discover how she came to join our winning team and how her role is evolving with our first international office opening.

How did you land your role at Leadinfo?

I’ve always enjoyed travelling. During my studies, I had the opportunity to do an exchange semester in Rotterdam, a great time to get to know a new country and city. Rotterdam is very international, and I felt very comfortable right away. Therefore, after my six-month exchange was up, I decided to continue my studies part-time and look for a job in the Netherlands.

It took me a while to find a job because I don’t speak Dutch. However, when Leadinfo approached me, I remember going to the office for a coffee and immediately liking the atmosphere. The interview gave me a good feeling, and my future coworkers welcomed me immediately. Because Leadinfo is a start-up, there are plenty of growth opportunities. So my decision was quickly made!

What do you do at Leadinfo?

My official title is Partner Manager, but my nickname around the office is “Swiss Army Knife” because our German team is not very big, so I take on other tasks too.

As a Partner Manager, I reach out to new potential partners while managing existing partnerships. Besides that, I take care of inbound sales, help customers through the Leadinfo trial period, conduct price negotiations and close deals.

However, with our expansion to Germany, I can take on a lot more responsibilities! And this is something I’m quite excited about. I’m part of the core team, building the new office and processes from the ground up, which is very valuable experience for the future. I’m grateful for what I’m learning right now and hope to work my way up to a management position later in life.

What accomplishment are you most proud of while working at Leadinfo?

Leadinfo has just made its first significant acquisition in Germany. During this process, I was responsible for migrating over the company’s customer base to Leadinfo. And not only did I achieve this while keeping a high conversion rate, but I was also able to shape the process myself. Meaning I was able to explore and find the best and most efficient way of working and transform that into a process to streamline our way of working going forward.

What’s the best part of working at Leadinfo?

Where should I start? At the very top is the working environment. Since it’s a young company—both in terms of the team and the company’s age—everyone is given a lot of responsibility. This goes hand in hand with a lot of trust, meaning that I can develop myself constantly, and it never gets boring.

Moreover, the boundary between professional and personal is much less pronounced in the Netherlands than in German-speaking countries. The Leadinfo family has become a family away from home for me. The team has been supportive both financially and personally during a difficult transition in my life. Also, there are often parties and events being held with the whole team. Something that I’m not used to as a Swiss person. But I think this is quite a special aspect of Dutch working culture and I hope we can import some of this culture to our German office.

What do you think you would be doing if you weren’t working at Leadinfo?

Touring with my band! I’ve been making music since I was a little girl and I sing in a band in Switzerland. If I hadn’t come to the Netherlands, I probably would have pursued a music career. Now I’m using my holidays for music: I’ll be touring Italy in a camper van with my band this summer, playing street music.
